[looking up in wonder & amazement at the fact that I haven't blogged in a month]

Holy macaroni.

This past month has been a blur of everything you could ever imagine. A full-on jumble of a new school in a new city with new people and new things and an entirely new outlook on life. Well, not entirely new, just a little more... sensical? Practical? Fashionable??

School is wonderful, but filled to the brim with assignments and lectures and textbooks. I love it. So much. I have a smorgasbord (can I use that word?) of new friends who I love, and it has just been a great experience so far. I can't believe a month has passed... Pretty soon I'll be done my first year!

I've met some of the most amazing people at Ryerson, including the lovely Georgia Love - my new blog photographer. One of the reasons why I haven't been updating is because I had no one I felt comfortable shooting with, but Georgia is honestly so amazing (I'm sorry for gushing, I'm just so excited to be up and running!) and I can't wait to work with her again, and again, and again. We met in the Fashion LLC, which is a little community in residence that brings all of us enthusiastic and stylish people together, and gives us additional fashion resources- this LLC is the reason why I'm sitting in a room right now that is filled with drafting boards for all of our endless design theory projects. The work never ends...

I feel like I've learned a few things that have changed me up a bit:
1. I still can't get away with wearing heels on a regular basis. (I'm way too tall, and living in the city means walking a lot)
2. Everyone here wears black. (And now, apparently, so do I)
3. The amount of sunlight coming in my window every morning does not correlate with the temperature outside. (Result - Extreme heat and chills)

I changed my outfit four times, as I do pretty much everyday - the one pictured above was the second look of the day. The top is Forever 21, the skirt is James. (from Aritzia), and the shoes are from Sears... Don't underestimate Canadian department stores, they can really pack a punch. My bag is the newest thing I own - I bought it from Aldo the other day for my laptop, but I've been using it as a purse regardless of whether or not I have any actual technology with me. All of the jewelry is vintage beyond compare, and my really hip sunglasses are from the men's section of a Polish H&M. Have you ever noticed that every H&M is different from one another? If you haven't, pay attention next time you're there. It's kind of cool.

Sorry for the essay - I haven't really said anything of importance because I'm tired and a bit caffeine-crazy and high on the scent of laundry sheets. If you've read this to the end, thank you - next time I promise to be more eloquent!
